A STUDY ON THE RECOVERY OF PLACENESS AND ARCHITECTURAL REPRESENTATION METHOD BY TRACE-INQUIRY IN OLD GYEONGGI GIRL'S HIGHSCHOOL SITE

The study attempts to put a question on today's superficial way of historical restoration and preservation, which simply produces replica of original forms and shapes, and, on the basis of the notion of permanence and persistence inherited in the city, to investigate the ways of architectural representation and utilization on the historical places. The study eventually intends to propose a theoretical frame of architectural operation to deliver characteristics of epoch-making events and places of history to people, and to apply the theoretical frame to the design experiment.
