ts10 Revision extension of fusion surgery in thoracolumbar spine using a newly designed revision rod - Comparative matched cohort study vs implant-replacement surgery. DOI: 10.1177/21925682241248105. The quality of Figure 5 in the original article was poor, and the area where the part of the revision surgery was performed in Figure 5(D) was not clearly visible. Figure 5 has been replaced with an image showing the same outcomes from an alternative patient. (Figure presented.) (A) 63-year-old male patient underwent revision fusion surgery from T5 to L5 for thoracic lordosis & scoliosis. (B) One year after surgery, proximal junctional failure with T4 compression fracture occurred. (C) Revision extension of fusion surgery using revision rod was performed from T2 to T4. When performing fusion extension surgery over a long segment, the stability of the instrument can be increased by using two side-to-side connectors between the revision rod and the existing rod. Although this case was not included in the study material, revision rod is a good option for patients with previous long fusion construct.
