Playing peculiar roles in today's urban space of Seoul, university campuses in the city become significant place that not only embraces educational programs but also creates cultural links to the neighboring towns. The study attempts to eveluate urban culture that universities create in the city and to affiliate university program with city space. The main strategy is focused on ways to utilize the contact zone where urban space and the campus outdoor space is met, and to create next-generation space for campus culture, where city events and campus' academic programs are responding to each other. keyword : university, city, cultural space, physical border, non – physical border
