An Overview of Korean Trade Laws

The paper presnts the past development and current status of Korean trade-related laws, with particular emphasis on their incorporation of Uruguay Round results. The paper was prepared as a guide to Chinese authorities in their efforts to amend their own trade-related laws on the occasion of Chinese entry into WTO. The paper discusses Korean esperiences and highlights the issues involved in coforming national trade laws to WTO rules. The paper was presented at an international conference held in Beijing from 22 October to 24 October.
