초록
In this research, the relation between the principal dimensions of bow and green water phenomenon on the bow deck of ship is sudied using experimental study. The prototype of 140,000DWT FPSO is used for the object hull form of the present research. The incident waves are regular type. The wave heights are 1.0~1.5times of freeboard, and the wave lengths are 1.0times of LBP. The wave heights and pressures on the deck are measured through the experiments. The model tests about bow flare angle, bow shapes and forecastle were performed. In these experiments, heave and pitch free conditions are applied on the models. Using the results of model tests, an optimized bow shape is designed. So, it is found that the green water impact loading is deceased by the designed bow shape. The results of this research could be used as one of the fundamental data to design bow.
