Operation of monitoring system for cerebral venous sinus thrombosis in Korea

Purpose: Considering concerns regarding the occurrence of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST) in the early stages after administrating the AstraZeneca vaccine. this study was conducted as a research service project for the Operation of monitoring system for cerebral venous sinus thrombosis requested by the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency for CVST monitoring. Our purpose was to prepare and operate a monitoring system for CVST outbreaks, and collect relevant data to identify the incidence, clinical presentation, and treatment of CVST. Methods: The Korean Neurological Association operates an outbreak monitoring system, which has suggested guides and reports, sent official documents to members, and collected cases under the guidance of expert members on CVST. The data were also offered to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency.
