Some species of the genus Thrautochytrium biosynthesize polyunsaturated fatty acid expecially including much quanitity of DHA and have been expected to be tge sources for microbial DHA production. In this study, we investigated the effects of initial sugar concentration, cultivation temperature and agitation speed on the fermentation characteristics of thraustochytrium aureum(ATCC34304)
