초록

This study introduces a protocol for reconfiguring train communication networks, specifically designed for cargo trains that frequently change configuration. The proposed system automatically adjusts the network topology, even as vehicles are added or removed, enhancing the reliability and safety of train operations. It integrates control over various connectors—pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical—to monitor train connections. By automating the connection verification process, the system reduces the risk of human error and accidents associated with manual checks. The implementation demonstrates that this approach can significantly improve the overall safety and efficiency of railroad systems. © 2024 The Korean Society for Railway. All rights reserved.
