Friction and Wear Characteristics of Magnetorheological Elastomer under Vibrating Condition

초록

Magnetorheological (MR) materials are belong to the group of smart materials which can be significantly altered in a controlled under the influence of an external stimulant which by changing their viscolesatic properties due to stress, electric fields or in the case of MREs, magnetic fields. The MR elastomers are special material for active sifffness and friction property. Recently, what the sliding friction coefficient of various material is reduced in the case of external vibration conditon is studied quantily. So, in this work, the friction property of MR elastomer is carried out under different vibration frequency and amplitude. The static and dynamic friction coefficient is measured to observe the friction property and the wear rate is measured to observe the wear property.
