The Application SWAT model of Radar Rainfall Data for water resources management
초록
For water resources systems and water resources management, the most important input data of computer-based hydrologic and water quality models are rainfall data and watershed parameter data. With the advance in GIS technology, it is possible to create spatial input data which is required for a variety of hydrologic and water quality models but the gauge rainfall has low observational density and geographical problems to be used as input data of the model. Therefore, the radar rainfall data has an advantage in spatial distribution of the rainfall and so it has a great interest to hydrologists. This research simulates the runoff and analyzes the changes of non-point source pollutants in the study basin by using the SWAT model. Here, the radar rainfall that can reflect spatial variability of rainfall during the modeling process is utilized as the input data of the model. The study area is Nakdong river basin, which has the frequency heavy rainfall during flood season and severe seasonal changes in water quality. In conclusion, the application of the SWAT model using radar rainfall data for the analysis of runoff and water quality of the target basin shows the reasonable simulation results.
