Long-Range π-Overlap in Solution-Processed Organic Semiconductor Films

초록

A Strong intermolecular interaction of diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP)-based semiconducting copolymers could lead to the spontaneous self-assembly of polymer chains within close proximity and form unexpectedly long-range π-overlap, which is favorable for both intra- and inter-molecular charge transport in organic field-effect transistors (OFETs). Small-sized nanorod or nanofibril grains in as-spun film could be developed into well-conjugated multilayers after post thermal treatment. Optimized OFETs including thermally annealed semiconducting polymer layers showed high field-effect mobility values of up to 3.4 cm2 V-1 s-1.
