가계의 사회인구학적 특성과 어머니의 자녀교육열이 사교육비 지출여부와 지출규모에 미치는 영향

초록

Relationships between 'socio-demographic characteristcs and the mother's education aspiration for their children' and the likelihood of the private educational spending and the amount of private educational expenditure were examined using a sample of 670 households in Inchon, Korea. Probit and Tobit analysis were used. Household asset, residential area, birth order of children, and instrumental educational aspiration facter have effects both on the likelihood and amount of the private educational expenditure. Household income has an influence only on the likelihood of the private educational spending.
