The width of leavtor aponeurosis is broader than tarsal plate

Study about the width of the leavtor aponeurosis and tarsal plate has not been performed. The aim of this study is to compare the width of leavtor aponeurosis and tarsal plate in different levels grossly and histologically.Twelve eyelids of 6 Korean adult cadavers were used. Ten were dissected and two were prepared for histologic study. Widths of tarsal plate and levator aponeurosis were measured at the lower border tarsal plate, midheight of tarsal plate, upper border of tarsal plate. Width of superior transverse ligament was also measured.
