Electrochemical fabrication of Cu2O nanowires using alumina template
초록
Template synthesis method has been widely used for fabrication of nano-materials and hexagonally ordered nano-porous alumina is actively applied as a template structure. Pore diameter of alumina template can be controlled between 50~420nm. Partly hydrated anodic aluminum oxide, which consists of thin barrier layer and porous layer, is fabricated by anodization in an acid electrolyte. Thickness of two layers depends on the applied anodization voltage and the regularity of pore distribution depends on first anodization time. Pore diameter is in proportion to 2.5nm/V, thickness of barrier layer is in proportion to 1.3nm/V. Highly ordered nano-pores can be used as a template for fabrication of metal oxide nanowires, and pore depth is in proportion to 1.5㎛/hr. In this work, electrodeposition method was utilized to fill different size pore with Cu2O. We analyzed Cu2O nanowires using SEM, TEM, and EDS. The ratio of Cu/O was about 2 and which shows that succeeded fabrication of Cu2O nanowires.
