Performance of Multiuser TH-PPM UWB System and the Applications in Image Transmission

초록

In this paper, our purpose is to get an analytical method for calculating the average probability of bit error of Time hopping pulse position modulation ultra wideband (TH-PPM UWB) communication system. In this TH-PPM UWB system, the orthogonal modulation method is used in order to achieve better performance. In this paper, we first introduce the accurate BER calculation methods of the multiuser TH-PPM UWB system and then give the performance analysis over an ideal AWGN channel and a correlation receiver. Furthermore, we also introduce their applications in image transmission and data transimission and give the simulation results. The analytical method yields simple and exact formulas relating the performance to the system parameters.
