Analysis of the thickness characters of the lateral thigh as multiple flap donor site with 3D angio CT

Purpose: Lateral thigh can be used as a donor site for several flaps such as ALT flap, Lateral thigh flap, Tensor fascia lata perforator flap, and reverse flap based on superior geniculator artery. When reconstructing the body with a flap due to a defect in soft tissues or exposure to vital tissues in various parts of the body, the type of flap and the thickness of the flap are selected depending on the size, region, inflammation, and cosmetic considerations of the defect. We investigated various factors that can affect the thickness of the flap in the lateral thigh which is a donor site for multiple flap, and tried to find out whether there is a relationship between the flap thickness and factors including sex, location, age, and BMI index.
