초록

The study is targeting a university campus that, as a base for education and research, social and cultural activities, is closely related to the regional society and surrounding urban fabrics. Focusing on frequent relocation, downsizing, or shutdown of the campus due to the change of the region and expansion/contraction of college function, in particular, the study asks how to regenerate unused city void in response to the existing urban context. Both reflecting on the concept of depaysement, a painting technique of surrealists, and borrowing the strategy of transplantation in the field of agricultural biology, the study attempts to draw such tactical points as discrepancy, recovery, and reinforcement, from relocation and transplantation in urban regeneration viewpoint, and to convert them into design thinking frame, and aims at verifying how affected it is to the existing city that heterogeneous elements are to be placed in non-hierarchical order. Keywords: Urban Regeneration, Transplantation, depaysement, Relocating University Campus
