Crosstalk Characteristics of Arrayed Waveguide Grating-Device

제8회 광전자 및 광통신 학술회의 (COOC 2001) 논문집, (2001. 5. 16~18). *** 무주 리조트 We fabricated a AWG device with a solgel-method and analyzed the characteristics of a crosstalk. Here, we classified the main cause of a crosstalk into three types: the polarization, the multi-mode effect, and the multiple surface scattering. The polarization gives a side peak about 0.21nm apart from the main-peak, and the multi-mode effect was seen on a transmittance spectrum. A main cause of a broad background noise spectrum is considered to come from the multiple surface scattering, which may be improved by roughness control.
