초록
Nanometer-sized ultra fine particles embedded in dielectric media have been under study because of several intriguing properties like optical non linerity, magnetic and electronic properties. Doping of nanosized particles have been studied for quite some time. Though there are lots of reports on silver doped classical sol-gel glass, the effect of silver doping on organically modified silicates, in which TEOS and some polymer act as inorgaic and organic components respectively, has remain quite unexplored. The purpose of the present work is to study the effect of silver incorporations on the structural and physical properties of PDMS modified silica xerogels.
