초록
The moon-pool is vertical openings through the deck and hull of ships or floating units, used for marine and offshore operations, such as pipe laying or recovery of divers. In the present study, the two-dimensional rectangular moon-pools during transit with even keel condition are considered to find out why the resistance is increased by the moon-pool. Navier-Stokes equations and continuity equation are computed for this study. The free-surface is determined every time step satisfying kinematic boundary condition using marker-density method. The cases of simulations include without moon-pool and with several type of moon-pools with free-surface condition. The computational results of computation, such as pressure distribution along the moon-pool and water motion in the moon-pool, are compared with each other to decide the efficient type of moon-pool. Also, the result will be referenced future studies include three-dimensional simulation and model test.
