초록

A rapid change of the modern society requires the traditional architectural approach and its programming to be reconsidered. Recent tendency toward both architectural renovation and urban revitalization proves the change of attitude in today's architecture and urbanism. It is an attempt to create a new type of architecture that reflects the change of modern society, through conversion of architectural program, while at the same time, maintaining existing urban features, The study attempts to explore the reinterpretation of programming in accordance with social changes and the conversion of architecture, to analyze the practical cases in the realm of today's architecture on the basis of Bernard Tschumi's concept of programming, and to investigate the way how an individual building creates a relationship with the present urban situation in the socio-humanistic world of today, which is represented by either 'multi-' or 'post-' centralization.
