International Legal Understanding of Imperialist Countries' Territorial Expansion and the Narrative Shift

초록

This article calls for studies in "imperialism in international law" to move beyond examinations of how imperialist countries expanded their territories towards researching how colonial states resisted and overcame imperialist forces. This will promote greater understanding of the essence and implications of territorial expansion by imperialist nations in the context of international law from the Korean perspective.
