Synthesis of NIR-Reflective Black Single-Shell Hollow Titania Through Recycling Silicon Sludge and Its Application as Materials for Autonomous Vehicles
초록
In this study, NIR-reflective black single-shell hollow titania particles (BSS- HTPs) are synthesized by recycling silicon sludge generated from semiconductor manufacturing process as a template. Specifically, BSS-HTPs are successfully synthesized by a series of sol-gel, etching, and NaBH4 reduction methods. As-prepared BSS-HTPs are combined with hydrophilic transparent varnish and spray-coated onto 2D substrates. Notably, the BSS-HTPs-based paint exhibits a high near-infrared (NIR) reflectance of 26.9 R% at a wavelength of 905 nm. Additionally, the BSS-HTPs-painted substrate is successfully recognized by a commercial MEMs mirror and rotating LiDAR sensors. In this regard, this study presents the potential of effectively recycling silicon sludge as a template for synthesizing NIR-reflective black materials and expanding the range of LiDAR-detectable materials for application in paints for autonomous driving environments.
