초록
In order to reduce the cost of the construction and to achieve easy maintenance continuous composite girders which have been avoided for a long time are now strongly attracting attention. In particular a lot of I-girder bridges consisting of the minimum number of main girders are now under construction as a new type of structure. However, it is difficult to tell that all the problems such as non-elastic characteristics and ultimate strength have already been perfectly resolved for composite girders. This paper presents a consideration of the ultimate strength of the I-girder with and without composite action under positive moment, positive moment plus shear force, and negative moment plus shear force. The results were obtained by a newly produced elasto-plastic finite displacement analysis.
