초록

The study departs from the hypothesis that the continuous urban sprawl owes to the technological progress in the development of urban infrastructure. The thesis attempts to examine urban sprawl through the idea of 'Generic City' developed by Rem Koolhaas and to investigate how the urban networks such as traffic system and urban infrastructure contribute to the urban growth.
