We report the first route to ynthesize highly ordered mesoporous silica having crystalline, microporous zeolite frameworks, conveniently denoted as IHU series. Our approach is mainly based on the sequential synthesis of meso- and microstructure by wo step treatments. In the synthetic processing, the addition of swelling agents significantly improves the formability of the surfactant micelles during the solid rearrangement process within the famework, converting the amorphous silica into the highly ordered crystalline, microporous phase. We demonstrate the hydrothermal stability of the materials under severe conditions that are difficult to achiv by conventional techniques.
