Comparative Study on Multidimensional Igniter Injection Modeling
초록
Interior ballistics involves complex phenomena as the ignition of the igniter in the primer, combustion of the propellant and two-phase flow in barrel, etc. Therefore, a detailed study of these effects is fundamental for the performances and safety analysis of the cannon. Although the igniter injection is the multi-dimensional phenomena, in previous study, one-dimensional assumption has been used for the igniter injection. So, a comparative study on multi-dimensional igniter injection modeling has been conducted using the two-dimensional axi-symmetric code through the Eulerian-Lagrangian approach. The code can be simulated for the igniter injection from the primer, propellant combustion, two-phase flows and projectile movement etc. In this study, impact on the performance of the cannon has been analyzed according to the igniter injection modeling in same conditions. AGARD gun has been used for the analysis model.
