초록

We analyzed and normalized the extinction ratio as functions of the normalized frequency (V), and the ratio of waveguide width to separation between waveguides (h) for a directional coupler. In structures that were equal in V and h, the extinction ratio were same value. The characteristic will have application to design of a directional coupler.
