초록
This paper presents dielectric characteristics of a non-uniform electric field gap in SF6 and N2 gases. The gaseous dielectrics were tested under the 1.2/50 [㎲] impulse voltage and VFTO(Very Fast Transient Overvoltage). Experimental results show that the breakdown voltages(BDV50) of VFTO is higher than those of 1.2/50 [㎲] impulse voltage in a needle-plane gap. Also the positive breakdown voltages are lower than the negative. The electrical breakdowns in SF6 and N2 gases non-uniform electric fields are intermittently propagated with the extension of corona.
