초록
The paper presents a time-domain system identification (SI) scheme for linear structural systems which estimates stiffness and damping parameters simultaneously. An error function is defined as a time integral of the least squares error between the measured and the calculated acceleration time histories. A nonlinear constrained optimization problem is solved for optimal stiffness and damping parameters. A regularization technique is applied to alleviate the ill-posed characteristics occurring in SI problems. To validate the proposed time-domain SI method, an experimental study on a three-story shear building model was carried out in the laboratory.
