To the editor: We, the authors, wish to issue the following erratum regarding our article, “Intraoperative Language Area Mapping: Cortico-Cortical Evoked Potential.” Some information in the main text, Table 1, and the Funding Statement has been corrected. Corrections in the Text Modifications for the number of patients in the “CLINICAL OUTCOMES OF CCEP-GUIDED SURGERY” section: The text was corrected by changing the number of patients from “seven” to “eight” in the Ookawa et al. study, and “mild verbal aphasia” was changed to “mild verbal apraxia.” In addition, the number of patients in the Suzuki et al. study was corrected from 13 to 15. 1) On page 40: Tamura et al. [14] and Ookawa et al. [15] performed CCEP monitoring during awake surgeries on five and eight patients, respectively. In Tamura’s study, two out of five patients experienced transient naming difficulty for 2 weeks but fully recovered. In Ookawa’s study, three of the eight patients exhibited transient speech impairment, and one developed mild verbal apraxia; however, all patients recovered language function within 8 weeks. 2) On page 41: In a 2019 study by Suzuki et al. [13], CCEP-guided surgeries were performed for 15 patients with tumors in the language-dominant hemisphere. Corrections in Table 1 The following changes were made to Table 1: • In the third row (Ookawa et al.), the type of anesthesia was corrected from “Awake 5” to “Awake 6/GA 2.” • In the fourth row (Yamao et al.), the language function preservation rate was corrected from “75%” to “85%.” • The fifth row (Suzuki et al.) has been removed.
