In Korea, accidents related to solar power plant are frequently occurring due to the recent increase in rainfall and typhoon. In the case of solar power plant in slope, sediment yield due to rainfall is the main cause, but accidents caused by wind loads such as typhoons also occur not a little. Therefore, in this study, the effect on the foundation of the solar power plant installed on the slope is analyzed using FLAC 2D, which can consider the interaction of the slope and the foundation together. As a result, wind load has remarkable effect on foundation, and it is necessary to construct foundation deeper than current practice. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.
