Vibration Suppression of Disk/Spindle of Disk Drive Using Piezoelectric Shunt Damping

This paper presents vibration control of HDD using the piezoelectric shunt method. The modal analysis has been undertaken to determine the position and circuit has been optimally designed. An experimental implemetation was performed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
