초록

A city neglecting individual memory in order to force collective identity is a meaningless museum-like space without texts. The project, taking the Dongdaemun Fortress Park recently completed as the site, intends to disclose the cultural disaster by which 100 years’ grass-roots memory was thoroughly dismissed in order to preserve 600 years’ unfamiliar history, and to advocate that a prerequisite of historical restoration overlooks the importance of the presence of the past that has made today’s city.
