초록
Since a limited number of sensors are usually available in testing a large and complex structure, it is one of the most critical issues to decide where to locate the sensors for measuring structural response. Even if some recently introduced SI (system identification) algorithms allow to measure response at limited degrees of freedom, the identified results may still highly depend on the selected locations of sensors. The current study proposes a new OSL (optimal sensor location) algorithm applicable to a modal SI method. It utilizes the sensitivity of eigenvectors with respect to system parameters. To take account of real applications, a statistical approach is proposed by assuming a certain error bound between the actual and the designed values of parameters. Simulation studies have been carried out to investigate the efficacy of the proposed OSL algorithm.
