A Common Hepatic Artery Entirely Originating from the Left Gastric Artery: A Case Report and Its Clinical Implication

Although rare, the aberrant common hepatic artery entirely originating from the left gastric artery has an important clinical implication. In this anomaly, an inadvertent ligation of the left gastric artery during lymph node dissection for stomach cancer might result in fatal ischemic damage to the liver.
