초록

The present study on the internal and external morphological changes at early developmental stages of the river puffer fish, Takifugu obscurus, was investigated for the purose to obtain the fundamental data for the seed production. The river puffer fish larvae were hatched by artificial insemination from adults captured in the nature. The newly hatched larvae were reared in 1.2 ton PP tank of 5psu sea water and salinity was increased in 1-2% per day until the 16th day after hatching. Larvae were fed with rotifer Brachionus sp. which were cultured with Nannochloropsis sp., Artemia nauplii enriched, and formular diet for marine fish. The mean total length of newly hatched larvae was 3.29mm and the mouth and the anus were not open. Melanophores were present at around the anus, the visceral cavity and the part behind the anus. The number of myomeres was about 7-11+14-15.
