북 디자인의 개념 변천과 e-book 디자인의 미래

초록

This study describes that design concept, realm of design and desigers’ role has been changed by transition of book design due to publishing technology, contemporary culture of reading, and readers’ needs. For this study, we deal with the chronology of book design according to publishing development depending on major historical momentum and implications associated with reading culture, the basis of these changes, will be presented. In conclusion, it is found that e-book design emerged as a new topic in publishing industry should be extended to new role to meet the needs of modern readers and new media age.
