A Soft-decision Metric Calculation for Decoding Superimposed Codes

To perform an iterative soft-decision decoding processing for superimposed code, the key problem is to calculate the soft-decision metric for code u and v. In this paper, a new sub-optimal scheme for soft-decision metric calculation is proposed and its performance is investigated by computer simulation comparing to the conventional scheme of pper[6], and the simulation results show its efficiency.
