손상확률함수(Damage Function) 기반의 함정 취약성 분석 기법 연구

초록

The vulnerability of a warship is defined as a capability to withstand a man-made hostile environment, and can be estimated by the probability of being kill by a hit. A quantitative calculation for vulnerability of warship carry an important meaning to increase success rate for its mission capability rate during the early stage of warship design. This study introduces a theoretical procedure for vulnerability assessment based on vulnerable area during initial warship design. The vulnerable area is a quantitative measure of vulnerability that may be applied to a system or component. The vulnerability assessment is done in two stages: definition of critical component and calculation of vulnerability. Firstly, critical component is defined as components level, criticality, and vulnerability to damage. Then, the probability of kill as vulnerability for critical component is calculated by vulnerable area approach according to the components layout and their redundancy. Especially, this paper introduces a methodology to quantitatively calculate vulnerable area of critical component based on damage function. Considering the weapon effectiveness such as penetration and explosion, the damage function is comprised of Carleton Damage Function and Rectangular Cookie Cutter Function to indicate the probability of damage for weapon effectiveness. In the damage function, normal distribution is considered to target accuracy. To evaluate the proposed methodology, examples about implementation of the vulnerability assessment for the hypothetical threat and component are shown in this paper. Additionally, examples shows that the proposed methodology can provide the alternative to decrease vulnerability of warship in the initial warship design stage.
