Effect of flexibility on flapping wing characteristics in hover and forward flight
초록
This paper presents a computational approach for aerodynamic analysis of realistic insect-like flexible flapping wings that consist of vein and membrane. For the aerodynamic analysis of the flapping wing, a three-dimensional preconditioned Navier-Stokes solver is used with a deforming mesh technique. For the structural analysis, on the other hand, co-rotational (CR) finite elements and the CR shell elements are used.
