Adaptive Charging Algorithm Based on Deteriorated Li-ion Battery Voltage Characteristics

Due to climate change and environmental problems, lithium batteries are becoming increasingly valuable as IT devices are used in electric vehicles, energy storage systems, and so on. When a lithium battery is used for a long period of time, deterioration due to the environment occurs and the internal resistance changes, so the voltage fluctuation varies depending on the charge and discharge current. In this paper, we implemented full charge detection and express charge algorithm based on open circuit voltage and charge current characteristics. The proposed algorithm sets and proposes the parameters for efficient operation of each application field.
