An estimation of nursing cost in the psychiatric care unit

The purpose of this study was to recognize nursing activities in the psychiatric care unit and to estimate costs of nursing activities. This research defines nursing activities in psychiatric care unit and estimates nursing cost by individual nursing activities. The authors believe that Korean medical insurance system will be able to utilize such information when making critical decisions so that nurses may provide qualitative care in their respective fields.
