Face Recognition using Genetic Algorithm and Geometric approach

Over the last many years, several different techniques have been proposed for computer recognition of human faces such as template matching, geometric technique based on facial feature, PCA (Principal Component Analysis), etc.. There are three steps for face recognition; the face region evaluation from original image including background in the office and household, the feature extraction from evaluated face region, and the face recognition in the last step. In this paper, we propose a whole algorithm for face recognition containing three steps. For the evaluation of face region, used the Genetic Algorithm, and applied the Template Matching and Geometric method for extraction facial features (such as eyes, nose, and mouth) and face recognition.
