A case study with an ergonomics view on CTDs in Korea

CTDs have been a growing problems for US industry with higher incidence rate every year. In Korea, they have just started to recognize and to work on the CTD problems. In this respect, this study would be the first study which ergonomically evaluated the industrial situation with medical data in terms of the results of physical examinations. A set of data in terms of worker and work-related CTD risk factors was collected from two automobile part plants and analyzed. Several work-related factors, specifically for posture, showed a significant effects on CTDs. This work is going to continue elicit the most risky factors for Korean workers and eventually to have a good prevention guidelines in Korea.
