Fatigue Properties of Smart Electrorheological Materials

In this work, mechanical and electrical fatigue properties of ER fluids are experimentally investigated. The variation of the field-dependent yield stress and current density are evaluated with respect to the operating cycles. In addition, surface rougheness of the electrode exposed to high voltage for a long time is investigated.
