A Numerical Procedure for Hydrodynamic Response Analysis of Slender-body-type ocean energy structures
초록
In this study, a numerical procedure for hydrodynamic response analysis of slender-body-type offshore structures are described. Finite beam elements are used to construct the structure. The hydrodynamic forces acting on the submerged slender body are calculated by using the modified Morison equation. Modal analysis is conducted to determine the natural periods and mode shapes of the structure. The Newmark-beta step-by-step time-integration scheme is employed to obtain the structural displacement vector in the time domain. The hydrodynamic responses of a simple offshore structure have been obtained and compared to those using commercial software such as ANSYS ASAS.
