초록
This research is about the development of GaN-based light-emitting diodes (LEDs) with a noble metal nano-particles arrayed layer for increasing the light output. Metal nanoplarticles arrayed layer which is laid on the top of device induce both of a high effective refractive index and diffused scattering. These play the role of extracting a trapped light in a device, and then, enhances the luminous efficiency of LEDs. The size and fill factor of metal nanoparticles are important factors to determine the efficiency. The spectroscopic and electroluminescent characteristics of fabricated LED samples with noble metal nanoparticles of different structure will be discussed.
