초록

This study intends to criticize high-tech architecture of 1980's in its tendency toward fetishism and plain formal representation of natural elements de-constructed from function, to investigate a so called Blob architecture of Jan Kaplicky that places a heavy emphasis on architectural consciousness and technological morality, and to make it clear that Kaplicky's language of architecture must be differentiated from the dull expressions of digital architecture and scrutinized on the extension of western philosophy while at the same time, exploring evolutionary aspects of organic architecture in the philosophical viewpoint. The main argument is placed on how valuable it is the evolution of Jan Kaplicky's high-tech architecture in an anticipation of another technological revolution in the 21st century, and on the possibility of form creation on the basis of 'placing' methodology.
