The VvJet grouting method, a type of rectangular jet grouting, has recently gained attention as it introduces vertical vibration during soil cutting and injection processes, addressing issues found in conventional high-pressure grouting techniques. However, research on the formation of stable, self-supporting retaining walls using this method remains insufficient. Therefore, this study evaluates the physical characteristics of the VvJet grouting method and analyzes the optimal wall thickness according to excavation depth. To achieve this, field soil investigations and field-scale test were conducted using the VvJet grouting method to form retaining walls. Additionally, core samples extracted from the formed walls and specimens designed to simulate real-scale conditions were tested. The tests included free-free resonance tests and uniaxial compression tests to assess the strength and physical properties of the constructed walls. Based on these results, numerical analysis was performed to determine the optimal wall thickness for different excavation depths, ensuring structural stability.
